Landscape Drafter
Location: Prairieville
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Landscape Drafter to support our landscape architecture and design team by producing accurate technical drawings, site plans, and 3D renderings. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of drafting software, landscape construction standards, and an eye for visual presentation. This role plays a key part in transforming conceptual designs into detailed plans for construction and client presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D landscape design drawings, layout plans, and construction documents using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vectorworks, or similar).
- Translate conceptual sketches, markups, and verbal input from designers into clear, accurate technical drawings.
- Draft site plans, planting plans, lighting layouts, irrigation plans, grading plans, and construction details.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and company design guidelines.
- Coordinate with project managers and field staff to ensure constructability and accuracy of drafted plans.
- Maintain organized files and version control of drawing sets.
- Occasionally assist in site measurements, surveys, or field verification as needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Drafting, or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD is essential; SketchUp, Rhino, or Lumion a plus).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for presentation graphics is a plus.
- Knowledge of landscape construction methods, grading, and planting design.
- Excellent attention to detail andability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in residential or high-end landscape drafting is highly desirable.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
