General Manager
Location: Prairieville
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and hands-on Landscaping General Manager to oversee and grow the operations of our landscaping company. The ideal candidate will lead day-to-day operations, manage field teams and administrative staff, ensure high-quality project delivery, and drive strategic growth and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for landscape design, installation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of landscape construction, maintenance, and enhancement projects.
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation for crews and equipment.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage field and office staff.
- Lead performance reviews, coaching, and team development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
- Client Relations:
- Handle customer escalations and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales/design teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
- Financial Oversight:â—‹Monitor job costing, budgeting, and profitability across projects.
- Approve invoices, payroll, and purchasing.
- Work with leadership on forecasting and growth strategies.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.â—‹Conduct job site inspections to monitor quality and progress.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in landscaping, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape installation, irrigation, and maintenance.
- Proven track record of managing teams and complex operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
