Estimator
Location: Prairieville
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Landscape Estimator to join our team. The Landscape Estimator plays a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and high end landscape construction projects, helping ensure profitability and competitiveness. This position requires strong knowledge of landscape materials, construction techniques, and the ability to interpret landscape designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop comprehensive costestimates.
- Prepare detailed take-offs for plants, hardscape materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Solicit and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
- Collaborate with designers and sales team to clarify scope, address inconsistencies, and refine estimates.
- Create bid proposals and submit estimates in a timely and professional manner.
- Track and update cost databases for materials, labor rates, and equipment.
- Support handoff of awarded projects to the construction team with clear documentation and scope definition.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in landscaping, construction, or sitedevelopment highly desired.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting landscape and architectural drawings.
- Experience using estimating software (e.g., LMN, Aspire, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent math, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple bids.
